Bradley Smith is the Assistant City Administrator/Finance Director of the City of Grovetown, Georgia. Mr. Smith oversees the day-to-day operations of the Finance and Utilities departments and assumes the City Administrator role in the absence of the current City Administrator. He has been in his current role for four years. Prior to this, he was a Certified Public Accountant with SME CPAs and was responsible for the supervision in his role of Senior Auditor of audits of local governments, not-for-profits, and employee benefit plans. Mr. Smith has successfully led the transition of the City of Grovetown into an ERP system, consolidating most sectors of the City’s business. He also re-wrote the investment policy, and after being named investment manager by the Mayor and Council, increased the City’s investment returns by over 600% over 2017. He holds a business degree with an emphasis in accounting from Georgia Southern University, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant with the Georgia State Board of Accountancy. He graduated the level 1 Finance Officer’s certification program through the Carl Vinson Institute of Government and is currently working toward his certificate with the National Certified Public Manager Consortium. Bradley has served as a Sunday school teacher and AWANA teacher for his church for the last 5 years. He is married to his wife, Katie, with twin boys (Hunter and Brantley) and a new baby girl due in July of 2022.
