Water and Wastewater DepartmentThe Grovetown Water and Wastewater Department is responsible for the local water supply, monitoring and maintenance of water quality, planning preventive and predicative maintenance, operation and repair of the water system, distribution system, and interfacing with the state agencies regarding water quality matters.The City of Grovetown operates four wells that produce 4.016 million gallons of water per month. Two county booster stations produce approximately 9.8 million gallons of water a month. The city's three elevated water storage tanks hold 900,000 gallons of water. The city's wastewater treatment plant can treat up to 580,000 gallons of sewage per day. The city sends approximately 300,000 gallons of sewage per day to Columbia County and approximarelty 50,000 gallons to Richmond County through metering manholes.
