Waste Management

The City of Grovetown Public Works Department is responsible for overseeing waste management services in the city including municipal solid waste, recyclables, and disposal services in a manner that is environmentally sound, cost-effective, and safe.

Residential garbage collection is provided to the residents of the City of Grovetown through a contract with Advanced Disposal.

The city offers a curbside leaf and limb collection service to its residents as an environmentally-conscious means for disposing of yard waste. The city collects yard waste in the form of grass, leaves and brush. The city does not pick up or collect used tires.

The city  is committed to recycling, waste reduction, pollution prevention and preservation of natural resources. The city's recycling initiative actively promotes and provides curbside pickup and a recycle site.

We encourage you to recycle your bulky items through charitable organizations and thrift stores. However, if you are unable to do so, the city provides twice-weekly curbside pick-up of large or bulky household items which will not fit inside the regular roll-out carts.
